With spring break right around the corner many Ole Miss students are getting their plans together for the big week.

While there are many places to spend the break, many head south to the Florida Panhandle. “I just want to lay on the beach all day with a cooler full of cold beer,” said Sophomore Luke Goodman of Meridian, Miss. “We found a cheap house that is in a great location in Destin.” Many students are running low on funds at this point in the semester, so finding a place that is fairly cheap is important to most.

All students want to get away and relax for a while, but that does not mean they have to go skiing or to the beach. Sophomore Taylor Phillips said, “I am going home and sitting on the couch all week. The only trip I will be making is to the fridge.”

Students around campus are doing all types of interesting things for the break. Many have gotten quite creative.

Perrin Crews, liberal studies major from Tupelo Miss., is going to Orlando to watch the Atlanta Braves in spring training. He said, “I decided to change things up this year since I usually just go to the beach.”

Regardless of what the student’s plans may be, I am sure there will be no shortage of excitement this break.
